Chapter 4: Installing Components

www.gateway.com

Remove the diskette drive from the bracket by pulling the side nearest the
screw hole.

Insert the new diskette drive into the bracket.

Reconnect the ribbon cable into the connector on the diskette drive, then
lock the ribbon cable into place by pressing on the locking bar tabs.

Reinstall the CD drive, then reinstall the media drive bracket into the
server. For instructions, see

“Replacing the media drive bracket” on

page 74
