Opening the case

Opening the bezel

The bezel covers the removable media drives, the hot-plug drives, and the
front panel controls. To access these components, you must open the bezel.

To open the bezel:

Grip the bezel door and pull the door straight out away from the chassis.

Swing the door downward on its hinges so that it rests below the front
of the system.

Removing the top panel

The top panel provides access to all of the internal components of the server.

To remove the top panel:

Turn off the server and disconnect all power cords.

Observe all safety and static electricity precautions, see “Preventing static
electricity discharge” on page 17.
