6.4 Purging of the SF

-Aciditor
After measuring a SF
6
sample with an SO
2
concentration above zero the SO
2
-sensor has to
be purged with ambient air. Therefore keep SF
6
-Aciditor turned on, disconnect the hose at
the gas inlet and press “Flush” on the touchpad display. The pump starts pumping ambient
air through the sensor (see picture).
Air has to be pumped through the sensor until the SO
2
concentration has again reached 0
ppm
v
. The pumping process can be aborted by pressing “Flush” on the touchpad display.
The SF
6
-Aciditor is again ready for operation.
Information!
For a longer lifetime and a correct reading the SO
2
-sensor has to be purged
after each time measuring a SO
2
-concentration > 0 ppm
v
.
DO NOT FORGET TO DISCONNECT THE HOSE BEFORE !!
