Handlebar Switches
Placed in left handlebar:
1. Headlight switch (Blue button)
2. Engine stop switch (Red button)
3. Start switch (Yellow button)
Headlight switch
HL: Headlight on.

: Headlight switch:
To gain longer life of the battery, always start the
engine with the headlight switch at off position.
Engine stop switch "ENG. STOP"
The engine stop switch controls ignition and can be
used at all times to stop the engine, especially in
an emergency. The engine will not start when this
switch is in "OFF" position.
Start switch "Start"
Push this switch to let the starter motor crank the
engine.
To start the engine, also see page 32 formore
details.
NOTE
If the starter switch is pushed with the main switch
"ON" and the engine stop switch "OFF", the starter
motor will be activated but the en-gine will not start. To
start the engine, make sure the engine stop switch at
"RUN" position.
