Modifying User Waypoints

3. Turn the

large right

knob to hghlght the

first reference waypont (REF WPT) field, f
you wsh to change the reference waypont.
Otherwse, contnue turnng the

large right

knob to hghlght the radal (RAD) or dstance
(DIS) field, as desred.

4. Use the

small

and

large

right

knobs to

change the dentfier — f desred — of the
reference waypont. The reference waypont
can be an arport, VOR, NDB, ntersecton or
another user waypont. Press

ENT

to accept

the selected dentfier.

5. The cursor moves to the radal (RAD) field. Use

the

small

and

large

right

knobs to change

the radal from the reference waypont, f
desred. Press

ENT

to accept the selected

radal.

6. The cursor moves to the dstance (DIS) field. Use

the

small

and

large

right

knobs to change

the dstance from the reference waypont to
the new user waypont, f desred. Press

ENT

to accept the selected dstance.

7. The cursor moves to the “Modfy?” acton field.

Press

ENT

to modfy the waypont.

8. Press the

small right

knob to remove the

flashng cursor.

NOTE:

If you attempt to modify or delete a

waypoint which is currently a direct-to waypoint
or the current “from” or “to” waypoint in the
active flight plan, the 400W-series unit will alert
you with the “Can’t change an active waypoint”
or “Waypoint is active and can’t be deleted” mes-
sage. You must first cancel the direct-to or remove
the waypoint(s) from the active flight plan before
modifying or deleting the waypoint(s).

displays a list of all

user waypoints currently stored in memory.
