8 G500/G600/G700 TXi ACTIVATION
Before SiriusXM Weather is accessed, service must be activated by the SiriusXM customer service. This is
accomplished by providing either one or two coded IDs, SiriusXM Satellite Weather (data) and Sirius
Satellite Radio (audio). The coded IDs are used to send an activation signal, which allows the use of
weather and entertainment products once received by the GDL 69/69A.
When SiriusXM weather services are not activated, all the weather product boxes are cleared on the
GDL 69 Status page. A yellow “Activation Required” message prompts in the center of the page.
Service Class refers to the groupings of weather products available for subscription.
8.1 Activation Steps
1. Contact SiriusXM at (855) 796-9847 or refer to SiriusXM’s website at
www.siriusxm.com/sxmaviation .
2. Position aircraft within satellite reception area and power unit.
3. Tap Weather > SiriusXM Weather > Menu > Datalink Status .
4. Verify Data ID, Subscription Level, and weather product listings are activated.
5. Tap Menu > Lock activation > OK .
