Removing the Propeller Drive Motor

Using a 5 mm hex bit or wrench, remove the six screws   that secure the shaft base to the propeller drive 

motor.

You should dispose of these six screws. New screws, washers, and O-rings are provided in the kit.

If your trolling motor has a transducer installed, using the tool   included in the kit, remove the recessed nut 

 that secures the transducer cable to the shaft.
