BOTTOM OF BACKSTAY SHOULD BE
EVEN WITH BOTTOM OF ENDCAP
Step 4:
Now attach the lower Backstay Mounting Bracket (8) as shown in the illustration below. Slide the
Clamp Plate (9) up into the slot of the extrusion. Use the same hardware as the top bracket. Then
place the Round Vinyl End cap (12) onto the end of the side rail. The backstay bracket will overlap
the end cap as shown. Mount the bottom end of the Backstay Pipe (5) to the bracket using two 3/8”
flat washers (21), a 3/8” x 2-3/4” bolt (16), and a 3/8” nylon lock nut (19) to attach the backstay. The
bottom side of the backstay pipe should be even with the bottom of the vinyl end cap so that the goal
sits level.
