Is the GARDENA smart system safe?
The GARDENA smart system works with encrypted connections between the
smart products and your router. You get password protection for your own
smart app account. You get theft protection for the smart devices. Once a
smart device has been assigned to an account, the device cannot be used by
third parties without approval.
What is the range of the GARDENA smart system?
GARDENA smart devices can communicate with the smart gateway at
distances over 100 meters under optimum conditions.
Which devices (smartphones, tablets) and which operating systems
support the GARDENA smart system?
The GARDENA smart App runs on all devices with operating system iOS
8.1 or higher, or Android 4.4 or higher. For all other operating systems and
devices with Internet access and a browser application (e.g. Chrome) installed,
a browser-based version of the app will be available. This will be around the
second half of 2016.
How many smart devices can I connect to the GARDENA smart
system?
If the GARDENA smart Gateway is connected to a GARDENA smart system,
any number of GARDENA smart devices can be integrated into the system and
managed.
