Note: The battery can be charged in or out of the mower.
The charger that is supplied with this mower is a specially designed 2-stage charger.
Step 1: The red light will light up during the recharge cycle.
Step 2: The green light will light up when the battery is fully charged.
1. Remove the jack cover.
2. Plug the charger connector into the jack on the battery.
3. Insert the mains plug from the charger into the electrical outlet.
4. The charger has a RED/GREEN indicator light which will indicate battery charge condition.
 - The RED light will come on when the charger is connected to the battery and plugged into an electric outlet; this
indicates the battery is charging.
 - The Green light will come on when the battery is fully charged. (The red light will go out)
 - Depending on how depleted the battery has become (how much it has been used since the last recharge), it may
take up to 12 hours to completely recharge the battery. If the battery was not completely discharged, recharging time
will be less.

WARNING: Do not store battery in temperatures lower than 32° F (0°C)

1. The battery includes a row of color coded Battery Capacity Indicator (BCI) lights with a push button switch to
activate them. These lights serve as an approximate “fuel gauge” of remaining battery capacity. The 5 BCI lights
range from 3 Green to 1 Yellow and 1 Red in color; more green lights indicate more remaining capacity, Yellow
indicates the battery needs recharging soon, and Red indicates low remaining capacity.
2. To use the Battery Capacity Indicator, simply push the BCI switch and observe how many lights come on. (See
Chart for approximate capacity % associated with number of lights)
3. The BCI functions as an APPROXIMATE indicator of remaining battery power and is not intended as a precise
measurement device. Your battery may have more or less remaining capacity than the % shown in the chart.
Temperature, battery age, and number of discharge/recharge cycles may all affect the accuracy of the BCI.
NOTE : Dropping the battery or rough handling can damage the BCI lights and cause them to stop working (much
like dropping a flashlight may cause it stop working). If the BCI lights do not come on, the does NOT mean the
battery is not charging and dis-charging properly.  Continue to re-charge the battery after each mowing and observe
the charger lights to determine when the battery is fully recharged. The battery does not need to be replaced
because the BCI fails.
