machine damage, as well as helpful operating and servicing information. Please read the whole
manual to avoid injury and machine damage.
NOTE: Throughout this manual, both general and specific information is
given that may help the operator in the use, service and maintenance of
this unit.
IMPORTANT SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
Please read and follow the next section with diligence and care. Always operate the unit per all the
safety instructions and recommendations outlined throughout this manual. Anyone who may use the
unit should read and study the instructions so that they are familiar with the unit, its controls and
safety features.

If these instructions are not followed, personal safety could be endangered and
damage to the unit could occur. Read and follow all safety instructions in this
manual prior to operating this equipment

Do not carry or transport the unit from one place to another while the engine isrunning.
•
When the engine is idling, the tines should not be turning. If they do rotate, contact customer
service for support.
•
Dress appropriately when operating this unit. Never wear sandals, sneakers, open shoes or other
light footwear. Always wear sturdy boots.
Never operate this unit with bare feet!
Always be
conscious of loose fitting clothing that could get caught in moving parts. Always wear safety
glasses when operating this unit.

Always keep hands, hair, feet and any loose clothing away from the moving parts of theunit.
•
Always wear approved hearing protection when operating thisunit.
•
Never allow children to operate this unit. Never allow adults who are not familiar with this unit and
have not read the instructions to operate the unit.
•
Never operate this unit when under the influence of alcohol ordrugs.
•
Make sure all nuts, bolts and screws are always tight. Use only original equipment parts.
•
Before making repairs or adjustments, turn off the unit and allow the unit to cool down. Remove
the spark plug wire before beginning repairs.
•
The muffler and nearby areas can exceed 150 °F(65
℃）
in temperature. Avoid these areas and
allow the unit to cool.
•
This engine produces carbon monoxide (an odorless, deadly gas). Never run this unit indoors or in
an enclosed area.
•
Before using this unit, carefully inspect the area to be tilled. Remove all foreign objects. Never use
above underground utilities, including water, gas and electric lines or pipes.
•
Do not operate this unit in ground that contains large rocks or obstacles that could damage the
unit.
•
If an object becomes lodged in the unit, turn the unit off and remove the spark plug wire. Allow the
unit to cool before dislodging.
