NAVIGATION
PRECAUTION
In all situations, adapt the speed of your boat to the surrounding conditions and retain a
safety margin.
Pay particular attention to:
o
The sea state, the currents and the wind strength.
o
The traffic.
o
The port manœuvres.
o
The passages in mooring zones.
Observe the rules of priority such as those set out in the rules of the road and enforced by
COLREGS.
Ensure that you always have sufficient room to stop and manoeuvre if necessary in order to
avoid a collision.
Respect the speed limitation zones.
Through courtesy and safety for other vessels, take care not to produce a large wake close
to other craft.
WARNING
A man overboard is a serious distress
Make sure there is a good tension on all lifelines on the boat
Plan ahead and wear clothing with integrated buoyancy
Make sure you boat is equipped with lifelines. Anchoring points are installed on the deck.
Refer to the rigging plan of your boat. In your travels on the forward deck the lifelines are
used as handrails.
Make sure your boat is equipped with adequate repair materials beyond the compulsory
materials.
In case of man overboard, activate as soon as possible assistance associations
The device to reboarding is the boarding ladder on the transom. It is equipped with a
system for deploying the ladder over board.
The device to reboard should always be deployed when the boat is used alone, even if the
boat is anchored, moored, parked or underway.
WARNING
The working deck is the zone inside the perimeter of the pulpits, pushpits, stanchions and
guardrails. Access to the bow roller and transom is forbidden whilst sailing.
The stability of your boat has been designed by taking into account the yard's catalogue
options. Any change in the layout of the onboard mass (e.g.: the addition of a radar, the
change of an engine, etc…) may affect the stability, trim and performance of your boat.
The towing of a boat leads to considerable overloading, having an unfavourable impact on
the stability of your boat.
Never
:
Raise a considerable weight using the boom.
Gybing is a steerage where the boom takes a lot of pressure. Always be careful and let the
boom rotate slowly.
Do not use the electrical winch for lifting the centerboard. Use the winch in a manual way.
The moving parts must be carefully fixed when the boat is underway
Tie the bag while sailing, to prevent degradation of the zipper and fabric wear.
