10. ENGINE
It is necessary to carry out regular maintenance by following the recommendations of the
engine manufacturer.
Carefully read the instructions for use of the engine which come with the boat. Don’t hesitate
to consult your retailer or a qualified professional.
Pay particular attention to the instructions relating to wintering.
In the absence of specifications, proceed in the following manner:
 Close off the seacock for the engine inlet,
 Disconnect the seacock pipe for the engine inlet,
 Empty the seawater circuit,
 Plunge the pipe in the container of anti-freeze liquid with a freezing protection
measuring at least –25°,
 Turn the engine over until the liquid is discharged via the exhaust,
 Reconnect the pipe onto the stopcock at the end of the operation,
 Place a notice on the fusebox and the battery cut-outs indicating that the stopcock
from the engine inlet is closed.
