Main Control Panel

The main control panel (Figure 1-3) is located above the centrifuge. It houses the
program board, operator controls, valve assembly, and RCD.

Figure 1-3: Main control panel (shown with LED program board and five valves)

Program Board

The program board allows user-defined or Gambro BCT-validated protocols to be
programmed for efficient and repeatable automatic cell processing procedures.

Operator Controls

The operator controls consist of rotary controls, switches (older models), status
lights, and push button controls located on the main control panel. There are
additional controls on the secondary control located behind the right panel door.

Valves

Depending on the version of your COBE 2991, four or five valves control the flow
of fluids into and out of the cell processing set.
