2.4 Data Trending Display and RS-232 Output.
The system includes memory storage of process results data. This data is stored
and will NOT be lost if power is disconnected from the transmitter. This feature is
meant to allow operations personnel to check on recent changes or trends in the
process by displaying the trends directly on the display of the linked device (PC,
PDA or TPC) logging again.
The Maximum number of data points stored is 8000. The user may allocate all
the 8000 points to one sensor (Result) or may divide them as needed.
Based on the default setup of one data point every 60 seconds and 500 points
per result, the Messenger will continuously have the last 8 hours of sample data.
Selecting Measurement Screen and then selecting Graph Data for displaying
results display the data trend. The Graph settings (Setup Graphical Results)
may be accessed under “Setup Results menu” where maximum and minimum
values for the y-axis (the process variable) as well as the time interval for data
collection and display. The system will then display whatever data is in storage
and the time span on the x-axis will be whatever the selected logging span
