5.5.3 Vacuum Pump Disassembly and Maintenance
1.
Prior to disassembly, make note of the orientation and position of the individual parts as they
are removed. This will ensure they are reassembled correctly after maintenance is complete.
2.
Remove the four corner screws holding the side cover plate in place and pull the side cover
plate off. This will expose the side compartment containing the counter-weight and
connecting rod. See Figure 78.

Remove the four corner screws holding the pump head unit in place and lift the pump head
unit off. This will expose the top of the diaphragm. See Figure 79.
