– The power cord must not be damaged with sharp or hot objects, open fire, it must not be
sunk into water or bent over sharp edges.
– If you need to use an extension cord, it has to be uncorrupted and it has to comply with
the valid standards.

Before you start
Remove all the packing material and take out the electric kettle with the stand. Remove all
possible adhesion foils, stick-on labels or paper from the appliance. Before the first use, fill
the electric kettle with clean water to the maximum level, turn it on and let the water boil.
Then pour out the water and repeat the procedure several times (at least five times).
You will boil the kettle out properly this way and get rid of potential taste. If you feel like
you have aftertaste from boiled water, we recommend to repeat the procedure according
to the instructions in the paragraph IV. MAINTENANCE – cleaning the kettle. Another
recommendation is to leave the empty kettle open for 24 hours. The material of the kettle
coming in touch with water is approved of sound health properties. Potential slight “smell” or
„aftertaste” during first use after unpacking the kettle is a common case and should not be
a reason for returning the appliance.
