After the tool is connected to a suitable hydraulic power source that is set at the correct recommended pressures and the correct nose
assembly is attached to the installation tool, the fastener is then inserted into the nose assembly. Pressing the actuator starts the hydraulic
power source. Hydraulic oil is then directed to the rear of the head piston starting it to move forward. The internal parts on the nose
assembly are also moving forward thus starting the installation process. As the nose assembly encounters resistance from the fastener,
the hydraulic pressure builds until the tool reaches its full forward preset position. After maximum pressure is met, the actuator is then
released, thus allowing the hydraulic pressure to drop and allowing the spring pressure in the front of the piston to return the piston
and the nose assembly to their start position.
