
ROOM LIGHT RECEPTACLE
The room llght receptacle turns off an external table or floor lam!) when
the projector is in FORWARD, STILL or REVERSE �nd automatically turns
this lamp on when the projector ls ln OFF, STOP, FAST FORWARD or
REWIND.
Room llghts used with thls receptacle should not exceed 150 total watts.
STILL PROJECTION
For Still or single frame projection, turn knob ta STILL. Refocus the picture,
if necessary (fig. B1).
To resume normal projection turn the contrai swltch to NORM.
SLOW MOTION PROJECTION
Movies can be projected in slow motion at 6 frames per second, wlth one
quick adjustment of the projector. Turn the film speed shlft knob to 6 FPS
while the projector is in FORWARD or REVERSE. To resume normal projec
tion speed, turn the knob to NORM {fig_ C3).
STEP
MOTION PROJECTION
(on 2788 Z only) 1
Movies can be projected in slow motion at 6 frames per second or 2 frames
per second with one quick adjustment of the projector. Turn the fi lm speed
shift knob to 6 FPS or 2 FPS while the projector ls in FORWARD or RE
VERSE. To resume normal projection speed. turn the knob to NORM (fig. C3).
REVERSE PROJECTION
Turn control switch to REVERSE. lt may be necessary to re-frame the picture
with the tramer adjustment knob.
Ta resume normal projection, turn the control switch to FORWARO. To stop
or shut off oroiector, turn the contrai switch to STOP or OFF.
NOTE: Use STOP position only temporarlly. Use OFF position when film is
completed.
FAST FILM ADVANCE
To advance quickly ta scenes remaining or
to
return to already-projected
scenes. turn control switch
to
FAST FORWARD or REWIND.
The projection lamp will be off ln FAST FORWARD or REWIND positions,
NOTE:Turn the control switch positlvely from position to position, without
stopping in between. This wlll prevent the film reels from free-wheeling and
causlng the film to spill.
ZOOM LENS
With the zoom projection lens, the size of the picture can easily be adjusted
without moving the projector or screen. First brlng the picture lnto focus
with the focus lever or knob. Then slide the zoom lens collar forward or
backward to fil! the viewlng screen; refocus image if necessary (fig. C2).
REWINDING
After showing the film, rewlnd lt back on the film supply rP.P.I i::o it is
ready for the next showing.
If the end of film ls still attached to supply reel, or to rewind film at any
time durlng projection, turn contrai switch to REWIND.

AUTOMATIC REWINDING
Film can be proJected and rewound automatically; the projector must be
manually turned OFF after rewinding. For automatlc rewindlng, attach film
to a supply reel. FIim tension wlll automatically trigger rewlnd cycle. If film
ls not secured ta the supply reel, normal rewind procedures should be
followed.
Attaching Film to Supply Reet With FIim Clip:
Attach rewind film clip to film end as shown. Extra clips are furnished with
the projector or are avallable from your dealer, lnsert end of film with "illm
cl lp into side openlng of suppl y reel and position clip inside reel core
below core slot (fig. CS)

AFTER THE SHOW
Do not jar the projector while the lamp is hot. Rewinding the film after the
show will give the lamp sufficient tlme to cool.

DAMAGED FILM
For troubies-free projection, film must be in good condition. Cut 011t bad
sections of film whlch have torn perforations or are dama(.led. Make certain
ail splices are aligned and in good condition.
