d.  When playing CHESS, if the player does not want to continue or wants 

to replay, tap 

MODE

 to exit, and tap 

EXIT

 to return to the game selection 

menu. Tap UnDo to continue the game.

e.  After finishing the game, tap

 to enter a new game, tap

start the game or tap

 to exit and return to the game selection

f.  Tap the               buttons to turn sound ON/OFF.

g.  Tap the              buttons to switch the backlight ON/OFF.

h.  During the game tap the CHESS piece to be moved, the piece will blink 

and sound. (Tap 

UNDO

 to cancel and select another piece.) 

i.  Tap the square you want to move to, then the computer will make the 

next move. Tap 

UNDO

 to cancel the step and select another piece. 

   •  If the move is invalid, or does not comply with the game rules, the piece 

    will not move. Refer to the game rules. 

  •  If there is no action after pressing other buttons, tap RESET to restart 

    the game. 

3. Chess mode

a.  In CHeSS mode: tap 

S/P

 to enter the game.  Tap 

LEVEL

, then use

   “ ” or  “ ” to select the degree of difficulty. The degree of difficulty varies 

from 1 to 20. Tap 

SET

, then touch  “ ” or  “ ” to choose from P: 

(W)

 for 

white game pieces or P: 

(B)

 for black game pieces or 

(2P)

 2 players, (you 

and the computer), then tap 

S/P

 to begin the game.

b.  auto Save: the unit will automatically save each move. 

 Tap 

UNDO

, and the unit returns to the last step automatically. You can tap 

UNDO

 multiple times until the game returns to the start menu. During 

gaming it will automatically save the current game and enter SLEEP mode 

when there are no moves made after 30 minutes. 

c.  auto Power-off: When the 

ON/OFF

 button is tapped the unit 

automatically awakens and restarts at the point the last game stopped.

CHeSS Game InSTrUCTIonS

  International chess is played by two players on a board divided into 64 

squares, 32 light and 32 dark. The player using the light-coloured pieces is 

called White. He always moves first (a player can never refuse to move, no 

matter how disastrous his options may be)! His opponent is called Black.

  The chessboard is made up three kinds of rows of squares: 

  Files are vertical rows extending from player to player; 

  Ranks are horizontal rows extending from side to side and; 

  Diagonals are lines of squares all of the same colour, touching only at 

their corners.
