Manual Mode
Manual mode disengages the leveling feature, allowing the instru-
ment to be placed in any position. (
Note:
In the Manual mode the
laser light is on, the rotor will spin and the self leveling is turned off.)
Select Manual mode with the Mode Button.
Height of Instrument Mode
Height of Instrument Mode is activated while unit is in Grade Mode
or Level Mode. H.I. will protect against accidental bumps or settling
of the unit that could cause errors.
To activate H.I. unit must be in Grade Mode or Level Mode while the
Rotor Speed is set to 600 (SF2). HI will automatically engage after
the tool has self leveled for 5 minutes. To reset HI, press any button.
Battery Replacement
1. Turn the battery cover knob to OPEN and remove battery cover
2. Pull out the slide board and remove the batteries
3. Insert new batteries as shown by the illustration on the battery cover
4. Replace the battery cover to its original position and turn the battery
cover knob to LOCK

– The numeric LCD window displays infor-
mation about the operation mode, grade, rotor speed, system errors
and leveling condition.
Plus Button –
lets the user increase the grade setting in the grade
mode and increase the rotor speed in the level and manual mode. In
the vertical mode this button controls the line direction to the right.
Minus Button
– lets the user decrease the grade setting in the grade
mode and decrease the rotor speed in the level and manual mode. In
the vertical mode this button controls the line direction to the left.
Mode Button
– Toggles between the Level Mode, Grade Mode and
Manual Mode.
