Simple Troubleshooting
This section provides simple troubleshooting procedures which the user can follow to restore
normal operation. If you cannot restore normal operation do not attempt to check inside the unit.
Any trouble should be referred to a qualified technician.

you cannot turn on
the power
• Check for blown fuse.
• Check that the power connector is firmly
fastened.
• Check for corrosion on the power cable
connector.
• Check for damaged power cable.
• Check battery for proper voltage output (10.8-
31.2 V).
there is no response
when a key is
pressed
Turn off and on the power. If there still is no
response the key may be faulty. Contact your
dealer for advice.
if the power is on and
you operated the
STBY/TX
key to
transmit
nothing appears on the
display
Check that the antenna cable is firmly fastened.
marks and legends
appears
no echo appears
Check that the antenna cable is firmly fastened.
tuning is properly
