7. When an Individual call acknowledgment is re-
ceived, the channel selected at step 5 is auto-
matically selected and a ringing tone sounds.

sure it is not busy, then key the microphone to
call the other vessel.
Manual Calling
You may enter an MMSI number manually to contact a vessel which is not
stored in the Individual Directory.
