2. SIGNAL FLOW

The function of FCV-1200L is mainly controlled by the CPU on the MAIN board in the Processor
Unit. The key settings on the Control Panel are read by the CPU on the PNL board and send to the
CPU on the MAIN board via the data communication line. Major I/O signals between the MAIN
board and the ES board are transmission signal, received signal and control signals.
The echo signal is sent from the ES board to the MAIN board and then converted into R/G/B signals,
and then delivered to the DISP board in the Monitor Unit "MU101C" together with HS, VS and YC
signals. When interface unit "IF-8000" is connected, those signals are sent via the MIF board in the
IF-8000 to the external VGA monitor or standard LCD monitor "MU-101C".

The EXIF unit interfaces the signals between external unit ( ETR, TS, VI-1100, EX-7, MT-12) and
the MAIN board.
