Emergency Procedures
WEATHER:
Inclement weather can be rain, lightning, or strong wind which makes usage
unsafe for children. In each case an adult should evacuate the inflatable
as quickly and safely as possible. After everyone has exited the inflatable,
the supervising adult must follow the procedures for shutting down the
inflatable.
LOSS OF ELECTRIC POWER:
When a loss of power occurs, the inflatable will slowly start to deflate. The
adult will have to assist children to quickly and safely exit the inflatable. The
supervising adult should be notified to check the problem. Do not leave
the inflatable unattended. When the problem is corrected, inspection and
maintenance should be performed before the inflatable is put back in
service.
INJURIES:
If the injury is minor, a supervising adult can assist the injured child to exit
the inflatable and the parent or guardian can give needed assistance. If a
major injury has occurred, the adult should evacuate children from inflatable
and assist the injured child out of the inflatable. The supervising adult should
contact appropriate first aid personnel or emergency. The supervising adult
should assist in crowd control to make way for emergency personnel and
vehicles.
DAMAGE TO INFLATABLE:
Should the inflatable receive damages during use, the supervising adult
should immediately evacuate the children. The inflatable should not be
operated until the damage can be assessed and repaired. When the
problem is corrected, inspection and maintenance should be performed
before the inflatable is put back in service.
Emergencies can arise for various reasons. It is important that an adult be trained to
implement emergency procedures should the need arise.
