immediately, you need further Ethernet cables. These cables is not supplied
with the equipment.
Set up and connect the gateway in the following order:
1. Screw on the two provided external standard antennas to the respective
RSMA connections Main and AUX. (only R3000w )
2. Place your gateway on a firm, level base.
3. Orient the antenna. (only R3000w )
4. Serial connection: Connect the serial port of your PC (COM1 or COM2) to
the a serial port of your gateway (ETH1/Serial). Use only the serial cable
supplied with the equipment. This can be left out if you do not need a serial
connection to the gateway.
5. LAN: Connect a switch port (ETH2) of your gateway to your LAN using the
Ethernet cable supplied. The device detects automatically whether it is con-
nected to a switch or directly to a PC.
6. ADSL resp. SHDSL (depends on type of device): Connect the ADSL inter-
face (ADSL) resp. the SHDSL interface (SHDSL) of your gateway to your
DSL socket at your splitter resp. your SHDSL socket using the DSL cable
supplied.
7. ISDN: Connect the ISDN interface of the gateway to your ISDN socket us-
ing the black ISDN cable supplied.
8. Optional LAN/WAN: Connect the remaining switch ports (ETH3, ETH4) of
your gateway to any other desired LAN or WAN interface using further Eth-
ernet cables.
9. Optional xDSL modem or DMZ: Connect the WAN interface (DMZ/ETH5)
of your gateway to an xDSL modem or the Ethernet connection of your
DMZ via another Ethernet cable.
Attention!
The use of the wrong mains adaptor may damage your gateway! Use only
the mains adaptor supplied with the equipment!
Incorrect cabling of the ISDN and ETH interfaces may also damage your
gateway! Make sure you connect the ETH interface of the gateway to the
LAN interface of the PC/hub or to a WAN interface and the ISDN interface
of the gateway only to the ISDN connection.
