3.1.
FT638 – standard version
The FT638 allows for the connecton of 2 mob ile radio terminals (
MRT1
+
MRT2
), that can b e
accessed b y up to 8 control sets via Ethernet(
ETH1+2
). If only a single mob ile radio terminal (MRT)
is connected, the maximum amount of control sets increases to 16.
Furthermore, the FT638 has an integrated PEI-AT multplexer enab ling the connecton of additonal
third party PEI-AT applicatons (routng apllicatons, status panels, operaton control sofware,...). In
the standard version, one additonal connector per MRT is availab le. For MRT1 this is a standard 9-
pin COM socket. If a third party device is to b e connected here, the cab les made for MTM800 FuG
ET or MTM5500 (or MTM5200/5400 with Expansion Head Enhanced) can b e used. Due to the
diferent protocols of DMR connectons, no PEI multplexer is availab le for DMR.
In case that another PEI-AT device needs to b e connected to MRT2, the socket RS232 has to b e
used. If the counterpart also needs a standard COM socket, our connecton cab le 635090 can b e
used. Here, only the 3-pin interface (RXD, TXD and GND) is availab le (see also
