This emulation is also required if you want to start the operating system
from a USB device.
If emulation is enabled, the USB keyboard or the USB mouse can also
be used with operating systems that do not support USB. The operating
system can be started from a USB device if this is also supported by the
operating system.
With emulation disabled, the USB keyboard or mouse can only be used
if supported by the operating system. The operating system cannot be
started from a USB device.

PCI Configuration
The menu items in this submenu are used to define whether the BIOS of the
relevant devices is started during the POST (
Enabled
) or not (
Disabled
).

If you want to boot from one of these devices, the corresponding BIOS
must be started.

CPU Configuration
The menu items in this submenu allow you to define the CPU settings.
Hardware Prefetcher
Defines whether the hardware prefetcher of the CPU is
Enabled
or
Disabled
. Default is

.

With this option you can make performance settings for exceeding
applications.
Fujitsu Siemens Computers recommends for standart applica-
tions not to deviate from the default settings.
Adjacent Cache Line Prefetch
Defines whether the a prefetch to adjacent cacheline sectors is

Enabled
.
