If the current configuration data of the Disk Array Controller is lost, data
loss results.

Ê 

Quit the DACCF program.

Ê 

Reboot the server.

How to save the standard configuration or how to set up and then save your own
configuration is described in the Disk Array Controller manual.

Configuring the standard SCSI controller

If your server is equipped with a Fast-Wide or an Ultra-Wide SCSI-2 controller, you
must make the following settings in the configuration of the controller:

• 

Send start unit command = yes (delayed power-on of the drives)

• 

Fast-SCSI bus (20 Mbyte/s)

• 

Support for Ultra SCSI Speed = enabled (for Ultra-Wide-SCSI controller)

Configuring the onboard SCSI controller

If the server system board has an onboard SCSI controller, you will find a detailed
description of it in the system board Technical Manual. Further information can be
found on the supplied driver floppy disk.

Installing the operating system

Ê 

Insert the installation disk (boot disk) and the CD of the operating system you
want to install.

Ê 

Reboot the server.

Ê 

Follow the instructions on the screen and in the manual for the operating
system.
