Setting up the palm vein sensor
Palmveinsensor Palmveinsensor
Whether your device has a palm vein sensor or not depends on the
device con
fi guration which you ordered,
Once purchased, your con fi guration cannot be changed to include the
palm vein sensor. Also, only the fi ngerprint sensor or palm vein sensor
can be installed when con fi gured, not both.
The palm vein sensor can record the image of the veins on the palm of your hand. This image
is evaluated with additional software and can be used in place of a password.

► Install the software
Work Place Protect
to
use the palm vein sensor (1).
Work Place Protect
can be found under Fujitsu Bonus Apps. The shortcut can be
found under
Start - Fujitsu Extras - Application
. Double click on the shortcut. A
window with a list of apps is displayed. Select
Work Place Protect
and install the
app. The software is also available on the Fujitsu Support Site.
Using the Security Lock
Your device comes with a Security Lock mechanism for the Kensington Lock Cable. You
can use the Kensington Lock Cable, a sturdy steel cable, to help protect your notebook
from theft. The Kensington Lock Cable is available as an accessory.
Fujitsu recommends the use of a combination lock.
