Top and Front Components
The following is a brief description of your LIFEBOOK Ultrabook’s top and front components.
HD Web Camera
The optional high definition web camera (1200x768 pixel) allows you to take pictures of yourself to send over the
internet. For information on using the web camera, see the documentation associated with the CyberLink YouCam
application.
Web Camera Status LED
The web camera status LED glows when the camera is on.
Digital Microphones
The noise-cancelling digital microphones are used in conjunction with the web cam. For information on using the
microphones, see the documentation associated with the CyberLink YouCam application.
Display Panel
The display panel is a color LCD panel with back lighting for the display of text and graphics.
Status Indicator Panels
The Status Indicator Panels display symbols that correspond with a specific component of your LIFEBOOK Ultrabook.

Power/Suspend/Resume Button
The Power/Suspend/Resume button allows you to suspend LIFEBOOK activity without powering off, resume your
LIFEBOOK from Sleep mode, and power on your LIFEBOOK Ultrabook when it has been shut down. See “Power On” on

Fingerprint Recognition Sensor
The fingerprint recognition sensor allows you to log onto your system and password-protected websites and
applications by swiping your finger over the sensor. The fingerprint sensor can also be used as a scroll sensor that
allows you to scroll up and down a page, similar to a scroll wheel on a mouse. See “Appendix B: Fingerprint Sensor
