Removing and installing components during servicing

Installing a memory module

Insert the memory module with the contacts
and the recess (a) facing the slot (1).

Carefully push the memory module
downwards until you feel it click
into place (2).

Attaching the cover

Place the cover into position, following the direction of the arrow (1).

►

Fasten the cover in place with the screw (2).

►

Complete the memory extension, see

"Finishing component removal", Page 70

.

Finishing component removal

After you have removed or changed the system components as you required, please
prepare your device for operation again as follows:

►

Install the battery again (see

"Installing a battery", Page 36

).

►

Turn the notebook the right way up again and place it on a

fl

at surface.

►

Reconnect the cables that you disconnected before.
