Installing and removing the hard disk (only for
LIFEBOOK E558 with HDD configuration level)

Removing the hard disk

Remove the cover, see

"Remove the cover", Page 64

.

For easier removal from the device, the hard disk is installed in a hard disk carrier.

The LIFEBOOK E558 is illustrated below. The approach is the same for all
variants. Corresponding reference is made to any differences.

Raise the hard disk carrier (1) slightly.

►

Disconnect the hard disk cable (2) from the hard disk.

►

Remove the hard disk carrier.

Open the hard disk carrier (3).

►

Pull the hard disk out of the hard disk carrier (4) in the direction of the arrow.
