Sorting the Images Scanned in Simplex Scanning
Mode in the Same Order in Which the Images
Scanned in Duplex Scanning Mode Are Arranged
[fi-7700S]
The scanner supports virtual duplex scanning, with which
front-side pages of documents are scanned first, back-side
pages are scanned in succession, and then scanned images
are sorted automatically.
In this case, you need an image scanning application that
supports the virtual duplex scan function. You also need to
configure the settings in the scanner driver.
1
Load documents with the front side face-down in the ADF
paper chute (feeder).
For details, refer to
"Chapter 2 How to Load Documents" (page 39)
.
2
In the scanner driver, configure the settings for scanning
both sides of documents virtually.
For details, refer to the scanner driver's Help.
3
Scan the document with the image scanning application.
For details, refer to the image scanning application manual.
When the scanning is complete, a message appears to prompt you
to load the documents face-up.
4
Load the documents with the back side face-down in the
ADF paper chute (feeder).
For details, refer to
"Chapter 2 How to Load Documents" (page 39)
.
When you respond to the message shown, the back side pages of
the documents are scanned.
5
When the scanning is complete, the scanned pages are
sorted automatically.

ATTENTION
When scanning the back side pages, take note of the following:
Load the documents so that they are scanned in the same
order as front-side pages.
Load the documents so that they are not scanned up-side-
down.
ATTENTION
If the number of the documents are different between the front side
and the back side, the documents are not sorted.
