If the upgrade was terminated abnormally, refer to "

11.2.3 In Case of Problem During Upgrade of Storage Cruiser's Agent (for

Solaris, Linux)

" to recover the system to the normal state.

Once normal operation has been confirmed after the upgrade of the Storage Cruiser's agent, the backup data in the backup
destination directory created in step 5 of "

6.5.1.1 Backing Up Operational Environment of Previous Version

" maybe deleted.

6.5.1.1  Backing Up Operational Environment of Previous Version

For recovery in case the upgrade fails, perform a backup of the operating environment of the previous version of the Storage Cruiser's
agent.
The procedure is shown below:

1.

Login to the server on which to perform the tasks. Perform operations after logging in with root (superuser).

2.

Execute the following command to stop the daemon:

# /opt/FJSVssage/bin/pstorageagt

3.

Execute the following command to confirm that the daemon has stopped:

# /bin/ps -ef | grep FJSVssage

If not stopped, execute the following command to stop it forcibly:

# /usr/bin/kill -9 daemonProcID

4.

Insert the DVD-ROM "ETERNUS SF SC/ACM/Express Mediapack (Agent Program and Manual)" for this version into the DVD ROM
drive and mount the DVD-ROM.
Refer to "DVD-ROM Contents" in the 

ETERNUS SF Installation and Setup Guide

 for this version for information on the DVD-ROM

structure and detailed contents.
In command example, the device name of the DVD-ROM drive is mounted as /dev/cdrom. The device name of the DVD-ROM drive
may differ depending on the device.

# mount -t iso9660 -r /dev/cdrom dvdromMountPoint

5.

Implement backup of the previous version.
Execute the following shell script included in the DVD-ROM. For 

backupDir

, specify the directory in which to store the backup data

with an absolute path.

dvdromMountPoint/Agent_unix/Storage_Cruiser/Linux/scagtpreinst.sh backupDir

When the backup fails, after confirming the output error message and removing the cause of the failure, execute the shell script
again.

6.5.2  Performing Upgrade

1.

Execute the following command:

 

# cd dvdromMountPoint/Agent_unix/Storage_Cruiser/Linux

# /bin/sh ./scagtinstall.sh

2.

The following message is displayed. To continue, enter "y". To discontinue, enter "n" or "q".
