Connectors and indicators
The LEDs have the following meaning:
LED Indicator Meaning
A - GEL
(Global Error
LED) Off No error (non CSS component)
Orange on Indicates a prefailure (non CSS
component)
Orange
flashing Indicates a failure. Reasons for a failure
may be:

a sensor detects an error
– sensor defect
– fan defect
– CPU error
– Software detected an error
B - CSS
(Customer Self
Service) Off No error (CSS component)
Yellow on Indicates a prefailure (CSS component)
Yellow flashing Indicates a failure (CSS component)
C - Identification Blue on Server is identified via the ServerView
Operations Manager
Blue flashing Local monitor off via AVR
D1 - board Yellow on AUX voltage available
D2 - board Green on System running
D3 - board Red on Configuration error.
The system board will be held in reset.
Possible configuration errors are e.g.: old
CPU populated, CPUs with different FSB
requirements populated, CPU1 not
populated.
D4 - board Green flashing iRMC S2 ok
On / off iRMC S2 inactive
E1 - overall
memory Off All memory modules running
Orange on At least one memory module defective
E2 - memory Off Memory module running
Orange on Memory module failure
F - system
fans Off Fan running
Orange on Fan failure
