BACK button
The BACK button is used to exit a menu without making any changes. Press this button to stop a
procedure midway through.
DISP button
The Display button (DISP) is used in Photography mode to turn the live image display on the LCD
monitor on and off. In Playback mode, pressing the DISP button switches text display on and off
or selects multi-frame playback.
LCD monitor
Use the 1.5-inch LCD monitor to compose an image when shooting, to replay images, and to view
menu settings.
The brightness of the LCD monitor display can be adjusted in any mode. Press the Menu/OK
button to display the SET OPTION menu. Use the arrow buttons to highlight LCD. Press the
Menu/OK button. An “adjustment bar” appears, indicating the range of brightness. Use the left
and right arrows to adjust the brightness, then press the Menu/OK button.
The LCD monitor displays information and icons about camera settings and operation. For
example, in Still image mode, the camera indicates the date, photography mode, flash mode,
macro mode, number of remaining images, file size/image quality, battery low warning, camera
shake warning, EV (exposure compensation), white balance, and zoom progress.
Menu/OK button
The Menu/OK button displays the menu screen when you are shooting or playing back images.
You also press this button to confirm a menu selection.
