4.2 Channel scan
To access the channel scan function from the viewing mode, press MENU on the remote control to open the
main menu, select
Installation
and then one of the following menus:
Auto Scan
or
Channel Scan
.
Auto Scan
Updating of all digital terrestrial channels received in the area by your antenna. The parameter are:
1.
Scan Mode
: Selection of channel type, between
All
or
Free
To Air services. Press OK on
Search
to start
the search of new available channels through whole frequency range UHF and VHF bands.
2.
Standby/Operate Mode
: function for the automatic updating of the channel list in standby and/or active
(operate) modes. If this last option is active, the receiver will search for new channels at the time and
with the frequency defined to menu, in both active and standby modes (if related option is active).
Instead, if only the standby updating in is active (default factory setting), the receiver will perform the
search one hour after turning off the receiver into standby.

4.3 Time setting
On viewing mode usage, press MENU on the remote control to open the main menu. Select
Setup
and then
Region and Time
. Three setting options are available under
GMT Usage
item:
By Region
: the receiver will automatically set the time according to the selected
Region
. If applicable,
activate the
Summer Time
parameter.
Off
: the user manually sets date and time.
User Define
: indicate the Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) time zone. E.g.: Italy has a time zone of +1 hour
(
GMT+01:00
), or +2 hours during summer time.
CAUTION
Some digital terrestrial services transmit information, which is strictly linked to the precise time setting of the receiver.
4.4 Software Upgrade
Since your receiver is made to last, the time may come when its software needs to be modified or improved
by updates. These updates will optimise the receiver’s functions or correct minor flaws. By default setting,
the receiver will search automatically for a new software upgrade on air (OTA) daily at the 4 a.m. during
standby and active mode.
CAUTION
The operations of downloading and installation of new software could take log time, especially in case of weak antenna
signal. During that operation do not interact with the receiver and never turn off the main leads: risk of irreversible
damage!

We can distinguish two cases following the
Operate Mode
option:
On
: the receiver will search automatically for a new software upgrade at the time and frequency defined
on menu (
Time
and
Frequency
parameters), during active mode and even standby mode (if active).
Off
: the appliance will perform automatically a software upgrade search 45 minutes after the switching to
standby mode.
4.5 Energy saving – Automatic Standby
This receiver is equipped with an energy saving function: after three hours in active mode without any action
of the user, it will be switched automatically into standby mode. Also, two minutes before the switching, an
information message will appear on screen.
The “automatic power-down” function is set to

(active) by default, but the user may disable the option

CAUTION
If you are going to set a Program Timer on menu

, with a duration of more that
three hours, we suggest to disable the Auto Standby function.
4.6 Factory Reset
The default settings of the receiver can be restored by a general reset. To do so, press MENU on the remote
control, select
Tools
and then
Load Factory Default
. This option requires the password (section 4.1.1).
CAUTION
A reset will loose all personal options and features settings saved in the receiver.
