To INSTALL Main Frame:
1. Make sure collar of base stem is loose. Insert main frame into collar base stem.
(Fig. 8).
2. Tighten collar of the base stem by turning clockwise to secure into place
(Fig. 9).
To ASSEMBLE Collar Base Stem:
1. Re-insert the base stem into the base. Turn collar base stem clockwise
to engage threading. Insert steel wrench provided into top of stem and tighten
(Fig. 5).
NOTE:
To avoid damage to your base, do not over-tighten base stem.
2. Insert clamp onto base stem and align gaps with base stem grooves (Fig. 6).
3. Attach collar to top of the base stem by engaging threading.
Do not completely
tighten before inserting main frame umbrella
(Fig. 7).

To EXTEND and RETRACT Arm:
1. Turn release knob counter-clockwise to unlock arm. Insert crank handle
fully into
Socket A
(Fig. 10),
crank handle will snap into place,
slowly crank the
handle clockwise until crank handle stops and arm is fully extended.
CAUTION:
Arm must be fully extended before retracting. Do not over crank, as it
will damage your umbrella. To lock arm, turn release knob clockwise.
To OPEN Umbrella:
1. Insert crank handle fully into
Socket B
(Fig. 11),
crank handle will snap into place,
then slowly crank the handle clockwise until canopy is completely open and
hub is inserted under center pole and crank handle stops.
To CLOSE Umbrella:
1. Set canopy to horizontal position and turn crank handle

counter-clockwise.
To TILT Umbrella:
1. Insert crank handle into
Socket A
(Fig. 12) and slowly crank
counter-clockwise to desired
degree of vertical shade.
