6.1.3 Measurement of hardly soluble samples
Samples which dissolve in the measuring liquid over time can be meas-
ured in the ANALYSETTE 22. We recommend preparing a saturated meas-
uring liquid. The particle size cannot be changed by dissolving - so the
measuring results remain constant. (However the saturated solution
must be filtered before use, as it may still contain undissolved contents.)
A saturated solution is formed when solids are added to
liquid which dissolve in the liquid below a certain con-
centration. Once the solid no longer dissolves in the
liquid and possibly sediments, the liquid is saturated.
For very expensive products, it may be worth changing to other meas-
uring liquids in which this dissolving behaviour does not arise.
