ELECTRONIC OVEN CONTROL
5
DELAYED START:
To Set the Oven for a Delayed Starting Time and an Automatic Turn-Off
To set the controls for this type of operation, follow steps 1-6 above and then steps 7-8 below:
7. Push the
STOP TIME pad.
The words "OVEN", "STOP" and "TIME" will flash. The display will show
the calculated stop time based on current time of day and cook time. A number indicating which oven
is being programmed will also flash (1- upper oven, 2- lower oven).
8. Push the
UP
( )
or
DOWN
( )
ARROW pad
until the time that you want cooking to be completed
appears in the display.
Example:
If at 10 o'clock you set the oven for 350°F/177°C temperature and 2 hours and 30 minutes
cooking time, the calculated stop time would be "12:30". If you want the stop time to be 1 o'clock,
push
STOP TIME pad
and the
UP
( )
ARROW pad
until "1:00" appears in the display. Three seconds
after this setting, the display will return to the current time of day.
The oven will calculate back from the stop time by 2 hours and 30 minutes to start the oven at 10:30.
Until the time of day reaches 10:30, the word "DELAY" will show in the display. At the end of the
delayed period, the word "DELAY" will go off and the oven will begin to heat. The word "PRE" will
not appear in the display. As the oven heats, the display will show a rise in increments of 5°F/2.5°C until
the programmed temperature is reached.
At the end of the programmed cook time, the oven will turn off automatically and beep 3 times.
To recall time function programmed
, push the appropriate time pad.
To cancel timed function only
, hold the
BAKE TIME pad
for 3 seconds. This cancels only the cook
time and stop time, not the programmed bake mode.
NOTE:
Clock controlled baking can be used with both ovens simultaneously. However, cook time and
stop time will be the same for both ovens. One oven may also be used for regular baking or convection
baking/roasting while the other oven is in the clock controlled mode.
NOTE:
If one oven is set for clock controlled baking, the other oven cannot be set for self-cleaning.
Note:
If more than 10 seconds
elapse between pushing a pad and
pushing the
UP
( )
or
DOWN
( )
ARROW pad
, the oven is not set
and the display window will show
the previous display.
Note:
Baking can be stopped at any
time by pushing the
CANCEL pad
.
Note:
Clock controlled cooking is
not recommended for baking items
that require a preheated oven. For
these items, preheat the oven and
then set the timed cooking function.
Food continues to cook if left in the
oven. For best results, remove the
food as soon as beeps signal the
end of the cooking time.
Use caution when using the automatic timer. Use the automatic timer to cook cured or frozen meats and most fruits and
vegetables. Foods that can easily spoil, such as milk, eggs, fish, meat or poultry should be chilled in the refrigerator first. Even when chilled,
they should not stand in the oven for more than 2 hours before cooking begins, and should be removed promptly when cooking is
completed.
