Chapter 10 - Warnings and Safety Precautions
10.1 No Operation By Children
Do not allow children to operate RL500.
10.2 Keep Away From Children, Pets and Adults
Keep children away from the RL500 while in operation.
10.3 Keep Operating Area Clear
Do not operate RL500 when there are people or pets on the lawn.
10.4 Do Not Leave Unattended
Never leave RL500 unattended while operating.
10.5 Keep Mowing Deck Clear
Keep hands and feet away from RL500’s mowing deck.
10.6 Make No Menu Changes While RL500 Is In Operation
Do not change menu settings wile RL 500 is in operation. Always press the red
‘Stop’ button before inspecting or adjusting.
10.7 Do Not Inspect RL500 While In Operation
Never attempt to check or inspect the blades while RL500 is operating. Stop unit
and remove the battery pack prior to inspecting the mowing deck and blades.
10.8 Removal of Surface Obstacles
Remove all items from the lawn area. Stones, toys, garden hoses, and other objects
left on the lawn may be damaged by RL500.
10.9 Containing
RL500
In addition to laying the perimeter wire, a low fence or other physical barrier can
be erected as a supplemental containment system, for lawns bordering public areas.
10.10 Use On Proper Surface
Operate RL500 on your lawn only. Do not operate RL500 on areas other than
lawns, except when relocating unit.
10.11 Do Not Ride On RL500
Never let anyone ride or sit on the RL500.
10.12 Manual Mowing
Always walk behind your RL500, at a safe distance of at least 1 ft. (30 cm.), while
moving your unit or mowing. It is recommended that shoes be worn at all times
when operating the RL500; especially while manually mowing.
10.13 Operating and Charging Temperatures
Do not operate RL500 at temperatures above 122° F (50° C) or below 41° F (5° C).
Do not charge RL500 at temperatures above 122° F (50° C) or below -4° F (-20° C).
10.14 Correct Handling
Handle RL500 carefully. Incorrect handling may damage the on-board electronics.
10.15 Exposure To The Elements
Do not expose the charger to rain or water.
