15) Connect the plug on the cable from the

16) Replace the battery cover and fixing screw.

Feed the cables through the aperture to the
right of the battery cover clip.

17) Clip the PIR Alarm Unit onto the mounting

bracket and adjust the unit until it is at the
required angle and direction.

SYSTEM OPERATION

Operating in Chime Mode:

To activate CHIME mode the mode selector
switch in the Remote Control battery
compartment must be set in the CHIME position.

Point the Remote Control at the PIR Alarm Unit
and press the ARM button.

The alarm will produce a door-chime sound each
time the door/window protected by the Magnetic
Contact is opened.

Detection of movement by the PIR detector will
not produce a door-chime sound unless the
door/window protected by the Magnetic Contact
is open or if the Magnetic Contact is not fitted.

Operating in Alarm Mode:

To activate ALARM mode the mode selector
switch in the Remote Control battery
compartment must be set in the ALARM position.

Point the Remote Control at the PIR Alarm Unit
and press the ARM button.  The alarm will beep
and the LED indicator will start flashing.  The
LED will continue flashing until the 30s exit-delay
expires, at which point the Alarm will be armed.
The exit-delay allows time for you to leave the
protected area without triggering the alarm.

Triggering the Alarm in Alarm Mode:

If the protected door/window is opened or
movement is detected while the system is armed
then the alarm will beep and the LED indicator
will start flashing.  This continues until the 10s
entry-delay expires at which point the siren will
activate.  The entry-delay allows time for you to
DISARM the alarm before the siren activates.

Unplugging or cutting the cable to the
magnetic contact detector will also trigger the
alarm, subject to the entry delay period.

The siren will continue for 60s before stopping.

Any further triggering of the alarm either by
opening the protected door/window or
movement in front of the PIR will immediately
re-activate the siren for a further 60s period.

To stop the Alarm, point the Remote Control at
the PIR Alarm Unit and press the DISARM button.

Disarming the Alarm / Exiting Chime Mode:

Point the Remote Control at the PIR Alarm Unit
and press the DISARM button.  The alarm will
beep and the LED will flash.

Panic Feature:

In the event of threat or danger an alarm can be
immediately initiated at any time by pointing
the Remote Control at the PIR Alarm Unit and
pressing and holding both the ARM and
DISARM buttons on the Remote Control
together for 2s.

To stop the Alarm, point the Remote Control at
the PIR Alarm Unit and press the DISARM
button.

TESTING

It is recommended that the system is tested
immediately after installation and at regular
intervals not exceeding 1 month.

To test the system, ARM the alarm and then
trigger the PIR detector (by walking in front of
it) and then stop the alarm.

Remember to allow the exit-delay to expire
before triggering the detectors.

Re-ARM the alarm and then trigger the Magnetic
Contact detector by opening the protected
door/window and then stop the alarm.

Note:  A cloth can be used to cover the siren
and reduce the sound output of the alarm
during testing.
