After disassembly, these elements should be placed in containers intended for WEEE (Waste
Electrical & Electronic Equipment) in accordance with the
Directive 2012/19 / EU of 4 July 2012 on waste
electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE)
, in accordance with which they are marked with the symbol:
The symbol of the crossed-out garbage bin indicates that the product should not be disposed of with other waste at the
end of its useful life. Therefore, the user is required to dispose of the product in question at appropriate collection points
for electronic and electrotechnical waste, or to return the product to the retailer when purchasing a new, equivalent
device. Improper disposal of the product by the user may result in administrative sanctions provided by law.
The remaining elements of the AHU's housing and components should be sorted according to the type of material
(metal, plastic, etc.) and placed in containers intended for this type of waste. Separate collection of decommissioned
equipment for environmentally friendly recycling, treatment and disposal helps to prevent negative environmental and
health impacts, and promotes the recycling of equipment materials. Recycled components of devices can be used as
materials for building new devices (in particular, housing components - metal, and control system components -
electronics and electric wires).
OBLIGATIONS AFTER THE END OF USE:
Household plays a very important role in contributing to the reuse and recovery, including recycling of waste
equipment. The user of equipment intended for households is obliged to hand over used equipment to a specially
designated place. However, it should be remembered that products belonging to the group of electrical and electronic
equipment should be donated only to:
• local waste equipment collection points. Information on the addresses of these points can be found, amo
ng others on
the website of the given municipality.
• directly to the waste equipment processing plant.
• points of sale for similar equipment. A retail or wholesale outlet is obliged to collect used equipment in the 1 for 1
system - i.e. when purchasing a new device, the old one can be returned to the store, provided that the device is of the
same type.
The above obligations were introduced in order to reduce the amount of waste generated from waste electrical and
electronic equipment and to ensure an appropriate level of collection, recovery and recycling of waste equipment.
