The first command is “View the list”. When this command is highlighted and
is pressed, you are taken into the User List. There you may view the list
and/or edit it.
Press . The message “List is empty” appears because there are no words
in the User List yet. You are then taken back to whatever screen you had been
viewing before. In this case you are back at the screen with the word “comma”.
Press . The User List menu appears.
Press until the screen below appears:

You are at the second command. The bold letter “A” in the word “Add” is the mne-
monic character for adding words to the User List. When you become more familiar
with the command screen, you simply have to press
, then the mnemonic
character of a command (in this case the letter “A”) from anywhere in this menu to
activate that command.

After the word “comma” has been added to the User List, the message “Word add-
ed” flashes on the screen. The Language Master then takes you to the screen
where you were before viewing the User List menu.
