To re-install the reflectance standard and
the threaded plug, gently turn the
OptiProbe over onto the face of the
module.

Place a towel or pad underneath to avoid
damaging the paint. Be very careful of the
fiber optic cable when placing in this
orientation.

In this position, the standard can be
inserted with minimal handling.

12.

When the reflectance standard is clean, re-
insert it into the instrument opening.
Handle by the edges to avoid deposition of
oils onto the surface.

13.

Re-install the threaded plug and snug
down.

14.

Slide the sample drawer back to the normal
position.

15.

Install the OptiProbe module back onto the
monochromator, and tighten the release
handle.

16.

Place the OptiProbe into the reference
position.

17.

Warm up the instrument thoroughly. Run
Performance Test to verify proper
operation.

information.)
