Keyless Entry Keypad
• Industry- and class-exclusive

• A light touch or tap of the keypad area illuminates
the keypad backlight for ready use
• Located on the driver’s-door B-pillar
• Smooth button interface and backlighting feature
make the keypad “invisible” when not in use
• A bright red LED behind each key illuminates when
it registers a key press to help prevent the keys from
inadvertently being pressed twice or too quickly
• Unlocks the driver’s door and/or all four doors
and unlocks the liftgate without a key by using a
programmable 5-digit code
• Pressing and holding the 7/8 and 9/0 buttons at the
same time —
for 2 seconds
— locks the vehicle
• Owner can program up to three individual
5-digit codes
• Can also be programmed for memory settings of
power seats, mirrors and adjustable pedals
(if equipped)

• New feature to Taurus for 2012
• Help keep driver aware of vehicles entering their
“blind zone”
• Include an integrated secondary convex mirror into
the traditional exterior sideview mirror design to
provide an optimized field of view for the driver’s
“blind zone”

Approach Lamps
• Automatically activated with the rear window
defroster to help remove moisture
• Security approach lamps illuminate the ground,
helping to avoid puddles and other hazards when
approaching/entering the vehicle
• Can be adjusted from the inside of the vehicle with
the touch of a button
• Electrochromic auto-dimming driver’s mirror
available on Limited and standard on SHO
Easy Fuel Capless Fuel Filler
• Fuel fill-ups are easier and quicker since there is no
need for a fuel filler cap
