• ‘SHUFFLE’ options are ‘OFF’,
‘FOL’ which shuffles tracks in the
current folder, and ‘ALL’ which
plays all tracks on the disc in
random order.
• ‘REPEAT’ options are ‘ALL’ which
plays the entire disc and ‘FOL’
which plays all the tracks in
current folder, then repeats tracks
from the same folder.
• ‘REPEAT’ and ‘SHUFFLE’
functions are cancelled when a
disc is ejected.
COMPACT DISC TRACK
COMPRESSION
With this feature on, quieter music is
boosted and louder music lowered
to minimise repeated volume
adjustments.
Sony CD/6CD
• Press the MENU button and use
the up/down arrow buttons to
select a ‘COMP’ display.
• Use the left/right arrow buttons to
select ‘COMP ON’ or ‘COMP
OFF’.
• Press the MENU button to confirm
your selection.
• Compression remains selected,
unless it is switched off.
Except Sony CD/6CD
• Press MENU repeatedly until a
‘COMP’ display appears.
• Use the SEEK button to turn the
function on or off.
COMPACT DISC TRACK
SCANNING
The SCAN function allows you to
preview each track for a few
seconds.
Sony CD
When selected, the track being
played flashes in the display. Scan
playback continues until the SCAN
button is pressed again.
• Press the SCAN button to scan
each track on an Audio or MP3
CD.
• Press the SCAN button twice to
scan the first track of each folder
on an MP3 CD.
Sony 6CD
When selected, the track being
played flashes in the display. Scan
playback continues until the SCAN
button is pressed again.
• Press the SCAN button to scan
each track on an Audio CD.
• Press the SCAN button twice to
scan each track on all Audio CDs
loaded in the CD mechanism.
Except Sony CD/6CD
When selected, ‘Scn’ or ‘SCAN’ flash
in the display.
