Note:
Make sure that the cones on the lug
nuts are against the wheel.
1.
Install the wheel.
2. Install the lug nuts and finger tight.
3. Install the locking lug nut key.
4. Install all of the lug nuts and partially
tighten them in the sequence shown.
5. Lower your vehicle and remove the
vehicle jack.
6. Fully tighten all of the lug nuts in the
sequence shown. See
Technical
Specifications
(page 180).
7.
Position the projection of the cap and
the projection of the hub correctly.
WARNING
Have the lug nuts checked for
tightness and the tire pressure
checked as soon as possible.
Note:
If the spare wheel is different in size
or construction to the road wheels, have this
replaced as soon as possible.
Stowing the Flat Tire
WARNING
Do not raise the spare wheel carrier
without the wheel attached. Damage
can occur to the winch mechanism
if lowered without a wheel attached.
1.
Place the wheel flat on the ground,
outside of the wheel facing down.
2. Tilt the bracket, and pass it through the
center of the wheel.
3. Fully insert the jack handle into the
guide hole and turn clockwise.
