Black plate (60,1)

To open the tailgate, pull the handle
toward you. The connecting arms will
hold the gate in a straight-open position.

When closing the gate, make sure the lock
is secure.

Freely Hanging Tailgate

1. To let the tailgate hang down freely,

lower the tailgate to the normal open
position.

2. Lift the tailgate as shown.

3. Adjust the leads so that the lead

insertion holes are aligned parallel with
the lockpins.

Lead

4. Remove the leads from each side by

separating the lead from the lockpin.

Lead

5. Lower the tailgate carefully.

Reattach the leads in the reverse order of
removal.
